Privacy policy
How Pitchside XI handles personal data on this website, including the closed-beta waitlist.
This document is a prepared draft for legal review. Highlighted items must be completed by the operator before launch, and the whole text should be reviewed by counsel for the relevant jurisdictions.
1. Who we are
This website is operated by [operator legal name], registered at [registered address] ("Pitchside XI", "we", "us"). For privacy questions, contact [contact email].
2. What we collect
We collect as little as the product needs. On this pre-launch website that is:
- Waitlist details. Your email address (required), and optionally an X username and a wallet address or ENS name. Providing the optional fields is never required to join the waitlist, to receive a beta invitation or to play.
- Consent record. Confirmation that you agreed to receive emails from us, with the time of signup.
- Technical data. A truncated browser user-agent string, and, only if the operator has enabled it, a salted one-way hash of your IP address used to detect abuse. We do not store raw IP addresses with waitlist entries.
We do not use advertising trackers. This site does not set tracking cookies. [Describe any analytics tool you add, or state that none is used].
3. Why we use it and on what basis
- To run the waitlist and send beta invitations — with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by unsubscribing or contacting us.
- To send occasional product updates about Pitchside XI — with your consent.
- To keep the service secure and prevent abuse of the signup form — on the basis of our legitimate interest in protecting the service.
4. Who we share it with
- Database hosting. Waitlist entries are stored with Supabase (Supabase privacy policy) in the region selected by the operator: [Supabase project region].
- Website hosting. [Hosting provider and region].
- Email delivery. [Email provider, if any].
- Market data. Fixture probabilities shown on this site are requested from Polymarket's public API by our server. No personal data about you is sent to Polymarket by this website. If you follow a link to Polymarket, their terms and privacy policy apply.
We do not sell personal data.
5. How long we keep it
Waitlist entries are kept until the closed beta and public launch have concluded, or until you ask us to delete your entry, whichever comes first. [Confirm retention period].
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to object to or restrict its processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these rights, email [contact email]. You may also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority: [name the relevant authority for your jurisdiction].
7. International transfers
Our providers may process data outside your country. Where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses. [Confirm transfer mechanism with counsel].
8. Children
This website and the waitlist are not directed at children under [16 / 18, per jurisdiction]. We do not knowingly collect their data.
9. Security
Waitlist data is written only by our server using credentials that are never exposed to the browser. Access to the database is restricted to the operator. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our practices change and revise the date at the top. Material changes will be announced to waitlist members by email.
